Gifts in wills

Legacy gifts are one of the most significant ways of ensuring our work continues – by remembering us when you make your will, you’ll help secure the future of our ocean and the wildlife that depends upon it.

Your legacy could make a huge impact

Our oceans are in crisis, and we are passionate about our commitment to making positive change to protect them.

By leaving a legacy as part of your will you can join us in fighting for the future of our seas, and support our work to restore precious marine habitats.

Our goal is to recover the health of the ocean; for the sake of our wildlife, our climate and our own wellbeing.

Together we can make a difference. Together we can safeguard our seas for future generations.

If you have pledged a gift to the Marine Conservation Society in your will, we’d be grateful if you would email our team at giftsinwills@mcsuk.org, notifying us of your intentions.

How you can leave a legacy

  • Think about what you have – your estate and assets – and who you’d like to be your executor
  • Choose who you will remember in your will and after taking care of family and friends, consider the causes you care about
  • Decide who will write your will. We recommend using a solicitor to make sure everything is legal and valid

If you have pledged a gift to the Marine Conservation Society in your will, we’d be grateful if you would email our team, notifying us of your intentions.

If you already have a will, and wish to add our charity as one of your beneficiaries, ask a solicitor to help you complete a codicil and then keep it safe with your will.

If you’d like to receive our guide to leaving a gift in your will please email us at giftsinwills@mcsuk.org. Thank you for thinking of the future of our oceans.
