We responded to the Government’s Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, highlighting our concerns that it didn’t offer enough protection to some coastal areas among other concerns.

Clean bathing waters protect public health, support tourism and provide opportunities for recreation at the coast. We believe that all beaches and inland waters that are popular for recreation should be designated as bathing waters, with appropriate measures taken to ensure their status.
