Our Guide to the Blue Economy, launched in June 2025, builds on the Seas Of Opportunity podcast that we co-created with Simmons & Simmons across 2024.
The guide explores the why and the how of building a sustainable blue economy: explaining why it is so important and how we can get there.
Drawing on the insightful expert insights of our many podcast guests, we break this down into three broad categories:
- Science & Conservation: Living on and Ocean Planet
- Policy & Governance: Shaping the Blue Economy Sustainably
- Blue Finance: Powering the Engine of the Blue Economy
What shone through from these conversations is that there is a lot of hope and a huge amount of opportunity offered by a sustainable blue economy.
The report highlights some of the brilliant work that is already underway in the blue economy and a roadmap for how we can scale this further to deliver economic and social progress through ocean recovery.
Everyone has a role to play, and we close the report with a Call to Action that sets out what we want to see in the coming years to set the wheels in motion.
