FatFace and the FatFace Foundation

2 minute read

FatFace is a lifestyle and clothing brand with deep roots in surf culture and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. Alongside the FatFace Foundation, the brand champions sustainability, community engagement, and ocean conservation.

FatFace's values

Their values align closely with ours: protecting marine ecosystems, empowering coastal communities, and fostering long-term environmental stewardship.

A longstanding partnership for the Ocean

FatFace’s exclusive co-branded product collections, sold both in-store and online, have been a powerful vehicle for raising awareness and funds.

With 10% of sales donated to the Marine Conservation Society, these collections have brought our message to high street audiences nationwide.

Since 2019, their dedicated support - financial, in-kind, and through public engagement - has helped us grow our impact, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founding partners of our Atlantic Coast Programme

The Marine Conservation Society are embarking on an ambitious new programme along the UK’s Atlantic Coast that will harness the power of oysters, seagrass, kelp and other unsung species to regenerate the ocean and help address the climate crisis.

FatFace and the FatFace Foundation are founding partners of the Atlantic Coast programme and have made a commitment to fund our pioneering work to protect, and build, healthy marine ecosystems until 2028.

To celebrate the launch of the Atlantic Coast Programme, FatFace unveiled the Restore the Shore campaign across its stores and digital platforms. This included:

  • A limited-edition product collection featuring ocean-inspired designs made with sustainable materials.
  • In-store displays and window signage highlighting marine “superhero” species like oysters, kelp, and seagrass.
  • A nationwide awareness drive encouraging customers to support ocean restoration through purchases and donations.

Voices from our partnership

We’re thrilled to be continuing our longstanding partnership with the Marine Conservation Society and are incredibly proud to be founding partners of the Atlantic Coast programme. As a brand with roots in surf culture, supporting the Marine Conservation Society in this next venture reflects FatFace’s commitment to the ocean and the communities everywhere who depend upon it

Will Crumbie, Chief Executive, FatFace

What the Atlantic Coast programme affords is the opportunity to nurture and better connect projects, while supporting people to play an active role in protecting their local coast and sea.

Thank you

We extend our heartfelt thanks to FatFace and the FatFace Foundation for their unwavering belief in protecting our ocean. Their support will help us restore and protect some of the UK’s most fragile marine ecosystems.

Stretching from Cornwall to the Hebrides, Britain’s wild Atlantic Coast is home to golden beaches, towering cliffs, and nutrient-rich waters teeming with life. By focusing on “superhero species” - nature’s carbon sinkers, ocean cleaners, and habitat builders - we’re helping to rebuild thriving underwater ecosystems that support marine life, clean our seas, and fight climate change.
